The Woodlands Sanctuary Foundation was formally established as a non-profit organisation with a constitution and membership on 29th January, 1995, having operated informally for some 4 years. It was incorporated as an Association on 5th January, 2001 (Regd no. A0040624W).

Purpose:
The object of the Foundation is to be an educational organisation for the advancement and development of spiritual awareness
1. Providing educational and psychic development and training services for members desiring to progress
a) their conscious understanding of the survival of their greater selves and,

b) their sensitive capacities as psychics and mediums for spiritualistic communication.

2. Providing information and evidence of survival and spirit/psychic healing services to earnest enquirers and to the public at large, either directly or via the Spiritual Kinship Society Trust.

The WSF is an Associated Body of The Spiritualists' National Union - the largest Spiritualist organisation in the UK and probably the world (and Garth Willey is one of SNU’s Diploma holders and a correspondence tutor appointed by their Education Committee).


Garth & Audrey Willey are the Australian representatives for The Noah's Ark Society - a worldwide educational society for the promotion, development and safe practice of physical mediumship.


Garth and/or Audrey are also members of, or are very closely associated with, the following organisations:

The Society for Psychical Research (a London based psychic and paranormal research organisation)

The Arthur Conan Doyle Society (a Canadian based literary society)

The International Spiritualist Federation Inc. (an international organisation for the unification of Spiritualist and related associations in all parts of the world; and for the advancement, by means of education and communication, of the science and philosophy of Spiritualism.)

The College of Psychic Studies (a London based educational charity)

The Lynwood Fellowship (a UK registered charity for spiritual and metaphysical studies and education - founded by Don Galloway)

WSF Spiritual weekends

Scheduled Scheduled twice in each quarter, and begin on a Friday evening through to about 4:00pm Sunday. They are designed to allow a relaxed atmosphere in which members and their guests or visitors and prospective members may get together to enjoy a light program of activities and time to enjoy the surroundings and one another's company.

Each weekend will be led and coordinated by a WSF committee member or other senior member, with the assistance of Audrey and Garth in whatever role they may be called upon - but it will be that leader's prerogative to select the activities, topics, etc. and to put their personality and preferences into making the weekend a success.

Activities may include:

  • Meditation (led or by utilising the many excellent meditation tapes available in the library);
  • Discussion sessions (with topics to be pre-selected by democratic choice of participants from a suggested list - or otherwise determined by the group);
  • Viewing videos (an excellent selection of spiritualist subject matter is available);
  • Experimental work with physical phenomena, ESP, pioneer-type methods of communication, etc.;
  • Sing-alongs, chanting, drumming, impromptu entertainment, whatever! By an evening camp fire (cooler seasons) or just under the gum trees and stars (fire restriction season);
  • Bush-walks and other light exercise - Tai chi, etc.

The cost of a Spiritual Weekend has been set at $150 for the full 48 hours program, inclusive of 2 nights accommodation and all meals, but is on a BYO linen and towel basis. We need a minimum of just 4 bookings to confirm a start, and this covers the cost of the leader's place. (Leaders do not get paid but get a free place - so there you are, get your own group together and have a great weekend). Please contact us for booking your weekend!

Woodlands Sanctuary is the private property of Garth and Audrey Willey, bought back in 1977 'on impulse.' The property is 16 hectares (220 metres frontage by 725 metres depth) in an area classified as "Rural Conservation."

It has been registered with the Victorian DNRE "Land for Wildlife" scheme since 1992 and the bush areas are the habitat of many flora and fauna species. Wombats, wallabies and echidnas are common - as are rabbits, foxes and bull ants! And less frequently spied creatures are goannas, kangaroos, koala bears, fallow deer, snakes, scorpions and the like.

Bird life abounds, attracted by the native vegetation; and favourites are the kookaburras, wedge-tailed eagles, robins and wrens visiting in wintertime, and the periodic migration of gang-gang cockatoos.
